This Special Edition Podcast is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend Kevin, who we lost earlier this month.  Kevin was a DJ and KJ at Good Time Charlies, and had appeared on our show on at least 2 occasions.  The details for Kevin’s services are posted on the front page of The Podcasting Couch.  Please join us in the celebration of Kevin’s life, Sun. March 9 at 1:30 PM at Good Time Charlie’s, 1/2 mi. W. of Dale Mabry on Waters Ave., in Tampa FL.  Kevin was a talented, caring, and funny guy, and most of all, one of us.  He was a brother, a father, a friend, and we will all miss him.

Please be sure to leave a comment below, if you listen, or were a friend…even if you just knew him because you sang with us at Charlie’s.  This page will remain here as long as I own this site…God Rest His Soul.

  1. Kevin,

This has been the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a long time. You taught me so much about being a DJ and KJ, how to mix a sound board, ambient noise, etc. etc. But, you also were a true friend, and I will miss seeing you at Charlie’s and my Halloween parties. You spun disks, came dressed as a black vampire, and made us all have a better time, wherever you went. “Pro Patria Vigilans”, (Watchful For The Country, from the ARMY). I know you will be forever watchful of us. God’s Rest my friend, you’ve earned it. Save me a place in the chow line.

  12. I want to offer my deepest sympathy to all of Kevin’s family. He and I were high school friends. We share so many great memories. Last June I got to see Kevin for the first time since way back then. He and I were among many past band students and family members who gathered to honor PHS band director John C. Turner. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see him again. I now wish I had taken more time to chat with him. I guess we rarely know when we are having out last chances. He was a special guy in high school who always stood out from the crowd. From what I learned about Kevin as an adult, he never lost his natural ability to stand out from all of those around him.

  14. Seeing a friend go is never easy, but I know now that where you are, you are pain free and care free. They say mourning is selfish feeling, and they may be right but having lost a good friend such as yourself I can justify being selfish. I know you will always be looking down on us and you will always be there for our kids’ birthdays, thanksgiving and other “get togethers” not just as friends but as family! Take care of yourself and keep on spinning the tables in the sky, man!

    Love you man!

  16. I didnt know until last night, it hit me really hard listening to this. Im gonna miss you Kevin, im sorry I stopped comming to Charleys after I started to working at 711. But I am glad you came to see me there and bought all those hotdogs. I am glad you bugged me to get up and sing, and picked on me while I was up there to help me calm down and stop being nervous when the bar was a full house. You were and will always be a unique individual, and will always be in my heart forever. Thank you for the laughs and good times at Charleys, and I will see you again some day. You will be forever missed but never forgotten, I love you….
