Atlast Pillow – The Back to Sleep Company

This is a product “Podcast Pitch” video we did for the Back to Sleep company, on a revolutionary new product, the “AtLasT Pillow”.  It is like no other sleep aid, but, I’ll let you look and decide for yourself.  I found it relieved my snoring, sleep apnea, and neck pain, all in under a week!  This is truly a life changing product, and I would not say that if I did not use it and believe it.  Enjoy the video, feel free to leave feedback.

FOX 13 – Joe (iTie Guy) Sale about Billy Mays

Fox 13 News in Tampa did a follow up with our guy, Joe Sale, the iTie guy about the sudden death of Billy Mays, Pitchman and local celebrity. We at IPN share Joe’s sentiment, and our prayers go out to his family, Sully, and the friends and crew of a truly remarkable character that touched all our lives. Billy, like many of his caliber, was taken from us too soon.

See the spot below, and watch the very end for a short tribute from spots where we had clips of Billy in action.

Johnny Mathis, Livemercial.com

I really love my job! Sometimes I get to interview smart people, Internet moguls, Entrepreneurs, Philanthropic businessmen, and even big hearted guys who really want to help others succeed with social media or online content. This week, I got to do all of the above! Johnny Mathis Jr., (no relation to the singer, sec -20:42) from Livemercial has made it his mission to help people sell their products over the internet. In much the same fashion Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan do on Pitchmen, they take cool inventions, new ideas, or services, and make them interesting enough that you’ll want to hear all about it! It’s time to dust off that old idea, make a prototype, and get your product video on Livemercial.

Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan are even featured as the Pitch Guys for some of Livemercial’s trade shows and web videos, check out this spoof they did on YouTube with Billy Mays on the TV show “The Office” Really funny stuff!

If you’re on twitter, (face it, by now, you should be!) check out http://twitter.com/johnnymathis and their Facebook page.

the iTie – Interview with Joe Sale

no other tie does what the iTie does!

no other tie does what the iTie does!

Listen to this podcast with Joe Sale, the inventor and CEO of the iTie.  This tie really “rocks”!  (Sorry, had to do it!)
Also, as an added bonus, take a look at Joe’s spot on Tampa’s NBC Channel 8 with Gayle Guyardo, who gave her co-anchor an iTie.  I hate wearing ties, but this one makes it fun!

Be sure to click his logo above, he has a video on his website done by Billy Mays and Anthony Sullivan, the Pitchmen from Discovery’s new show.

Podcasting Company gives away podcast secrets, FOR FREE!

This was written in response to why we host a meetup group teaching people to become podcasters, when we sell podcasing services.  Look for it to follow in the Tampa area media soon.

IPN, the Internet Podcasting Network, has been producing Podcasts for businesses for the past two years, and now, they’re giving away their secrets. Why? Because they believe that the best way to convince others to get on board and start producing podcasts is to teach them how to do it!

What’s the catch? Nothing. Chuck Palm, CEO and “Chief Podcasting Officer” said “the main reason we’re teaching people to podcast is that we want to educate others on how easy it is to produce and broadcast your own content over the internet, whatever your message, and let the whole world hear what you have to say! We believe that the more podcasters there are, the more great content there will be, and thereby, the better chance we’ll have to help them promote their message and get it out to millions of devices and computers around the world”.

IPN produces shows for clients, and helps them drive visitors to their website, using podcasting as a hook. Podcasting is a method of publishing audio or video to a website, and making it available to iTunes, Widows Media Player, or simple websites that subscribe to content like “RSS Readers” or “Podcatchers”, and allow subscribers to get updated content automatically, like email delivered to their inboxes. The vast reach and power of this technology cannot be overstated.

The “blogosphere” has gained credibility in the media for no other reason than that people pay attention to it. Podcasting was born out of the same idea behind blogging, and spread like wildfire. There are millions of new shows produced each month, but Palm believes most of them go unheard for a variety of reasons. “Podcasts that are poorly produced, with bad audio quality, or uninteresting stories are doomed from the beginning. Many people start out thinking that people will listen to them sell a product, or talk about why they are “bigger, better, faster, or cheaper”, and the fact is, that’s just not entertaining. If you can do it like Billy Mays, then you’ve got something!”

IPN believes that they can service their clients better if they have a basic understanding of this first, that’s why they decided to teach people the way that they do podcasting. “We don’t feel like we’re devaluing our offering, just the opposite! We spend a lot of time educating our clients before we record the first minute of audio, so why not let them attend one of our meetups to learn what we do, and how others are using the tools. Many of our clients have taught us new ways to promote ideas, educate prospects or employees, and we share those ideas openly. It only helps everyone to better understand, and to know that they can get help without spending a fortune making mistakes or seeking professional advice. Of course, we believe if they want the best possible production, with tangible, measurable results, they’ll contact us, because they feel that they can trust us not go gouge them.  Next step is to get them to embrace the idea that they are now broadcasters on the internet, or as we like to call it, “Netcasting”.

10 Things you can do to start Podcasting

I’ve had a lot of calls lately from people that are interested in starting their own podcast.  The obvious answer is that we’d love to help all of them through IPN, but, it’s more important to us just to have you START PODCASTING!  Our main goal is creating more quality content, and we’ll do whatever we can to help get you going.  Not everyone is a candidate for IPN to help them create their show, produce, publish, and promote them, and provide iTunes listeners, and generally make them famous!  Some of you want to go at it on your own, and we encourage you to do so!  We all benefit when there are better podcasts out there.

The following is an excerpt of the document we hand out to help people get started.  You can download the entire thing HERE, feel free to spread it around, blog about it, re-tweet it, just START PODCASTING!

Top 10 (5) things you can do to start Podcasting:

  1. Download an informative PowerPoint
    www.fl-cpa.org/resources/2007/PodcastingDoItYourself.ppt

  2. Purchase a Podcast Hardware kit, USB, we recommend Behringer Podcastudio www.MusiciansFriend.com about $100

  3. Decide on your format, a talk show, video, or maybe a presentation? There are no wrong answers. What you choose will impact your equipment and skills required.

  4. Remember the RULES! http://www.mcelhearn.com/?p=152
Good advice on some basics of podcasting

  5. Think of your target audience! What do they want to hear? Are you informed enough on your topic? Do you need guests? How and where do you think they will listen? Have something prepared to say, and take notes to add to your show later.

BONUS! – NASA has created an AWESOME site to help students and teachers learn how to podcast, and they even include content for you to use!  http://www.nasa.gov/audience/foreducators/diypodcast/index.html Tell them Chuck Palm sent you.

Download the complete Top 10 Flyer and feel free to spread the word!
